The Flash Comparison: DCEU vs CW

The Flash was one of the lone bright spots in Justice League but how does Ezra Miller's Barry Allen compare with other versions of The Flash? Greg takes a look at the new Flash, and how he stands toe to toe with some of the our favorite Flash speedsters.

I like Gustin's Flash because it just feels like we know him better. However, I like that they are separate and distinct personalities

grant had 4 years to perfect barry allen. i honestly think that grant's take on barry allen is more authentic than ezra miller's.

The movie was more like Wally West than Barry Allen to me.

The Flash in the DCEU didn't feel fast at all. The CW with a way lower budget was able to capture the intensity of the speed Barry was going. IMO even Quicksilver from the Marvel movie universe seemed faster.


2 Years Later Edit: I just realized people think I'm talking about the actual speeds of the characters, I'm not. What I am talking about it how it's portrayed visually.

Grant looks more natural than Erza, the only thing that could be improved is his humorous side, more jokes like the comic character. On the other hand, Erza's flash looks like is forcing the humour, sometimes that is a bit of a shame...

Same here enjoyed Miller but Grant is best as We all Fan said but people wanted to make that decision after watching the movie, now they did... Answer is Grant Gustin is the best

Ezra's flash is a pale immitation of Grant's flash. he's literally just there to be the butt of every joke

simple answer: everything about the flash in CW is better in every way compared to the inaccurate and cringe DCEU flash.

I know Barry can be akward but Ezra Miller Flash is just way too akward creepy and lonely. Its so sad how the writers of the movie did my favorite hero wrong

Ezra as the flash was pretty bad he was very socially awkward and had alot of annoying characteristics . As for Grant Gustins The Flash he is more intelligent, charming and more heroic

Another person I will have to agree with! The show is more like the comics because of all the reasons you have said! The whole CW platform in my opinion has been way better because it doesn't just smack you right in the face saying that no main characters will die. Warner Bros did, however, kill off a main character in which I thought (sadly and weirdly) was great! The movie showed that Warner Bros wasn't afraid to kill off a main character, however, in Justice League they didn't full-fill the potential they granted. In the Arrow-verse where Grant Gustin is "located" the CW did show that they aren't afraid to kill off a main character like Laurel Lance and Captain Cold. The CW has done a whole lot with the comics and even changed some things up so they weren't just flat-out copying the comics. (Sorry for rambling on)

Grant will always be my flash, even if he has a hobby of messing with the timeline. But I'm sure Ezra's flash will do that eventually.

Ezra Miller's Flash seems to be a mix of Barry Allen and Wally West.  That explains his youth and awkward sense of humor.
