The Battle of Austerlitz, also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors, was one of the most important and decisive engagements of the Napoleonic Wars.

The battle is innacurate, but Kutuzov's assessment was somewhat correct. He knew Napoleon would trick him into the fog.

Remember Napoleon actually gave the high ground to the Austrian and Russians, so to let them feel they are in control. Is a genius play already, to get the opponent into combat when their strategy is not to give combat.

Kutuzov was the only man at that battle that wasn't consumed by vanity. It's a miracle that Russia survived Napoleon's 1812 invasion, because Emperor Alexander was a man obsessed with standing against Napoleon, a man he could never equal.

The actor who plays Napoleon is more like Marshal Bernadotte than Napoleon.

The way Kutuzov says "Madness" is just brilliant

It’s one of the masterpieces battles where military tactics and strategy have been implemented successfully.
Consider just the effort that Napoleone endure just to lure the Russians and Austrians to go to the battle!

He was one of a kind!!
I don’t blame Clausewitz when he described Napoléon as the god of war!!

Kutusov's reaction was exaggerated by Tolstoy. Yeah, he warned that Napoleon could turn his line, but he knew nothing of the hidden troops or even those marching up on his left flank. He was just a cautious, defensive general.

I thought Austerlitz was fought in the snow lol, not in the summer...

This can not be the Battle of Austerlitz. This battle took place on December 2, 1805. There was frost, fog, the grass was dry and brown, there were no leaves on the trees. And in this film you can see that it is the middle of summer.

It's crazy to see Logan's ancestors scouting out Austerlitz for a good Connor ranch location.

Alexander is still young and naive, that it took this defeat which he by the way caused to learn a lesson and have Kutuzov reinstated as the C-in-C of the Russian army when Nappy invaded Russia almost 7 years later.

Kutuzov, my hat to you for your service to your people, and your honesty even in the face of emperors.

Russians and Brits used to get along surprisingly well for a two old rivals than it comes to defeating a rising new power in Europe (3 major conflicts - 3 alliances).
