I remember being 43 and still at least thinking I was at least a little young I just turned 60 relatively speaking 43 was still pretty young compared to how I feel now now I’m closer to the edge that age when all the old dudes in the neighborhood just started dying out I don’t know if any of you all had that experience in your neighborhood in my neighborhood it was mostly the old dudes who drank too much who all simultaneously hit the end of the road it was a brutal Few years there the great die off

I was talking to a guy at work. Somehow, the topic of age came up and he said, "Yeah, these young guys just don't understand what we older guys went through to get here." Turns out, he's in his early 50s and thought I was, too. I'm in my mid 60s! Blew his mind when he understood that, to me, he was ALSO one of "those young guys."
