As the Sword of God begins to penetrate it isn’t a quick stabbing per say, but and ongoing dissecting. The spirit corrupting the soul must be carved away and a removal of corrupt thoughts etc. Thus the need for a new spirit. Just sharing ideas here. I can’t say I fully understand. When I see a friend struggling I always refer back to spiritual battles and I end up telling them to pick up their sword! It’s crazy how I have this sword called the word and most people think it’s a weakness or a crutch like we pray because we are afraid and while that’s kind of true I’m only afraid of the two edge sword. My greatest fear is my spiritual weakness my inability to always wield my sword. I’ve gotten better but sometimes we revert back to our earthly programming. I wish people could see it like me the real magic of God. To see God work has changed me to my core. To watch God distribute divine justice even when I choose to forgive something done to me without seeking my own revenge even when I don’t want them repaid it’s not up to me and I see his purpose in things and I am grateful to see God fighting for me and them in the same swing. Hello Jason, I watched your previous study about once save always save. My thoughts might be insignificant, yet I got this conviction that I got when I was praying about this issue. Listening and watching how people explain this topic, it boils down to the idea that.. you can never be unchild, if you are already a child. So you can do anything pleasing to God or not. This is human perspective. Yet God is not human.
My question is, does this idea/teaching the modern day "you will not surely die" from the garden? As how once save always save is being fend to Christians for many years now, maybe, it also took sometime for the serpent to convince Eve to ear the fruit? The Bible only described the result of convincing and the the effect of it. Not the duration of the the temptation.

@Don't fall by the same sword of disobedience. Doesn't that not mean, to not fall by the same sin over and over. If you have faith it doesn't mean you are not prone to make a mistake again and therefore it's important to be in the obedience of the word to stray away from bad choices.? Therefore in having faith that if you stick to the word you can be saved. I just hope I'm understanding properly.
