Congress leader and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed concern over the party’s trouble in Punjab and said the situation there could have been handled better. He also stated that a full-time president was needed in the Congress.
Speaking to India Today, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said, “The Punjab crisis could have been handled better.”
With former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu at loggerheads, the Punjab Congress camp has been the address of a political fiasco for some time.

Disintegration of congress was needed from 1947 and even Gandhiji wanted that. But some vested interest politicians used this Name for upliftment of their fortune so pulled this party till 2021. Thank god the process of disintegration has started. Gandhi surname must go out of India's politics as soon as possible. It is a blessing in disguise. They are not in power for the last 7 years and they should not be in power for the next 10 years is the need of this hour.

Congress needs to have elections to have a president and elected leaders at every level of the organisation.
Rahul Gandhi needs to be elected and not nominated.
It is important to understand the concerns of the seniors in the party who have also contributed to the Party .
Congress has a legacy of the freedom struggle and it must work to strengthen the party.
It is surprising and sad that Sonia Gandhi seems to delay the elections inspite of defections from the party.
Those who favour the Congress would not like to see the party crumble.

On the other hand bringing in new blood like Kanhaiya and Jignesh will also certainly help the party.
Rahul Gandhi must step up and move in the right direction.
Sidhu should be given a stern warning. Either he follows democratic principles of the Congress or he should be asked to leave. Sidhu has already damaged the party and the Gandhi siblings are to be blamed for this mess.

Sonia Gandhi should condemn the violent attack by the Youth Congress on Kapill Sibal's house, otherwise she is no better than Modi who turns a blind eye to every act of violence committed by BJP supporters against the largest minority in our country.
