Terrier work is an extremely effective method of controlling rats when used at the correct time which is commonly when their harbourage is disturbed. Examples of this would be muck heaps could harbour hundreds of rats. So by using an excavator to slowly disturb the heap, this can result in large numbers dispatched quickly . Another example would be when mobile poultry units are been relocated or just lifted.
