You See A Goblin - A partially-original composition of mine, in which I take sound effects and music straight from the game to create a more eerie, "realistic" dungeon crawling experience.

FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE, LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES

⊰- The Elder Scrolls I: Arena Original/Unofficial Game Soundtrack -⊱

I was frustrated that I couldn't find a version of the Arena soundtrack that was processed with the distinctive Adlib sound* as opposed to the version heard in the midi files, which are published and arranged wonderfully on several different videos (see Stefan Lindberg's full soundtrack with the General Midi).

I've recorded all music from DOS BOX using Audacity to get that lower resolution sound and organized them into a variety of tracks through Adobe Audition.

*I've previously referred to "Adlib" as "8-bit" for lack of a better word to articulate the sound, but I have since been corrected. I've also seen this soundtrack classified as "16-bit", although I think neither 8-bit or 16-bit is an accurate description.

I'm definitely playing this before the next goblin encounter in my DnD game. My players will be confused as hell.

Great composition, very creepy!
Dwemer ruins in Skyrim used to make me feel very uncomfortable, mostly because of the constant mechanical sounds. But then I played Arena! And those sounds were nothing compared to goblin voices somewhere in the darkness!

One time I was searching through one of the dungeons with a staff piece in it and suddenly I heard a woman scream (in game, not in real life!), spooked the hell out of me. That was the only time I'd ever heard it, in multiple play throughs.
