I'm atheist, and crazy pious nonsense usually irritates me, but this time I'm more irritated with people's comments shitting on Pratt for expressing his faith. He never mentioned anything supernatural here, he talked about his church in a way church should be talked about. It SHOULD be a place for community and inner development. His "inner light" idea is merely a metaphor for integrity, internal personal development, and overcoming difficulties in the face of intimidating odds and pressure. This effects all humans, regardless of irrelevant spiritual viewpoints. He found a quote that helps HIM understand himself better and he wanted to share it, which is what good people do when they discover something beneficial to our species.

I'm a buddhist. But I love when Colbert and Pratt talked about their Christianity passionately. It's like they are expanding my mind. So I don't get it why some atheists have problems with that. When some Buddhists judge Muslims, some Christians judge Buddhism, some atheists judge Christianity or some Islamics judge atheists, it's hate, not love. People have freedom to believe what feels right to them.
