Nice video. It showed me how to remove the cables, but for something so critical to the success of this operation, it would have been much more helpful if the cable removal process was shown in more detail. I had to rewatch a few times to catch the part where the cable holders had to be flipped up to release them. And the keyboard cable removal was obscured so that detail could have been shown better. Anyway, I finally got my battery, M.2 and HDD replaced with new parts. In the future I'll have to do more research before buying a laptop so I don't end up with something that's such a nightmare to update.

Only way to start my Asus n705u is to remove AC cable, remove battery, put battery back in, reconnect AC power, and only then do 2 white lights appear bottom left of casing, near audio port, and I can then power on. It's a brand new battery that can hold a charge for months. BIOS reset. Cannot find the CMOS battery to try replace that, I don't know if this laptop even has one.
