Tall Person Tries A Stand-Up Coaster For The First Time | Drayton Manor 'Mini-Vlog' September 2022

Yesterday, Monday, the 5th of September, I took the trip south to Drayton Manor, located on the outskirts of Birmingham, a park that I last visited as a small child, 13 years ago.

The main reason for my visit was in fact to get on Apocalypse, a classic Intamin drop tower rumoured to be closing at the end of the year. Additionally, it has long been a duty of mine to make sure I have ridden a Stand-Up coaster before they all go extinct, with rollercoasters like this seeming to get rarer every year.

This Stand-Up coaster in particular is named Shockwave, which was designed by Giovanola and built by Intamin in 1994. With adjustable restraints, I was curious as to how well I'd fit in the ride in the first place as a rather tall human.

Stormforce 10 was another absolute gem that I was lucky to experience at this park and it is certainly one of the greatest water rides I've ever ridden.
