Found a new spot for Filipino food thanks to some friend’s detective work. Isla in San Bruno, CA had a bunch of new foods that I’ve never tried before. To be honest, we did not know where to start, so we ordered the Sulit Ala Carte #3 which came with Soup, Chicken Wings, Garlic & Butter Shrimp, A veggie style curry, (Bicol Pakbit, which was my favorite) and tons of meat options. The food tasted of homey comfort food, and you could tell this restaurant is special– lots of people celebrating their birthdays in large groups. My take away is the next time I go, I’ll bring 5 more friends!
