Welcome to The Blue Mouse Knits! Today I'll be teaching you how to work a center double decrease (abbreviated as CDD). This is also sometimes called a central double decrease. This is a double knit decrease, it's worked over 3 stitches and decreases 2 knit stitches. It creates one central column and is a perfectly centered decrease. This decrease it worked by slipping the first 2 stitches as if to knit, then knitting 1 stitch and passing the 2 slipped stitches over the K1 and off the needle. Passing those 2 stitches of the knit 1 will bind them off and decrease 2. I hope you find the video helpful!

Thanks for the lesson. I saw this abbreviation in an old pattern and I hadn’t the faintest idea about what to do. 😩 Again, thanks so much! 👍😊😊
