I loved the ending <3 it was hopeful the way he reached for her hand. In that very moment it mightve just been something he did because he thought thats what he should do BUT i really believe he will feel love for her again <3 He had the memories, and love is not something you can take away, remove from existence and maybe thats the message. I like to think they got to a better place, free to explore and feel again. Silas feels emotion again and they have a happy ending

I wonder if 'the cure' only resets the human temporally to pre-stage 1 again instead of being a permanent fix.

Kind of like how people have to get vaccinated for the flu yearly to continue to be effective.

That's love sometimes...she's feeling it, he now isn't due to
circumstance, but he follows through because of his prior
commitment to her. If your emotions override your reason
and decisions, you will be in big trouble. Case in point
here. Silas did the right thing here can be so hard.
