As soon as you had to use a digital microscope to show the differences I knew this comparison was GG. If you have to do that then I guess there is no point in upgrading since you can't see the differences with the naked eye. I actually appreciated you printing ALL those minis because tbh that was the BEST comparison. If you can't tell the difference in real models people would print, then that is what matters the most.

Why do we keep talking about "4K" vs. "8K" printers? The level of detail is a function of RESOLUTION, not total pixel count! An 8K 6" screen is going to offer much higher detail than an 8K 12" screen. Shouldn't we be talking about "50 micron" vs. "30 micron" or even "25 micron" printers? That would be much more useful!

This closely parallels the results I got when I compared the resolution of the Mars 3 to the OG Saturn. Even with a matte-finish primer and making the layer height the same as the pixel size, there were more differences introduced from stray lint and cat hair than resolution. Months later, I can *just barely* tell the difference under a jewelers loupe. I never knew how much lint and cat hair was in my prints until I looked at them under close magnification.

Elegoo seems to make some of the best machines for home hobbyists I have seen. I mean, many other brands are good as well, but almost every Elegoo seems to look at what their competition is doing in that generation-line and just up it a little more. It makes me virtually drool in envy sometimes.

This question may have already been asked, but how well does the wash and cure station work for the Saturn 2 8k?

@Uncle Jessy or anyone in the comments. What external UV light is that at 8:41? There seems to be about a thousand options on amazon for UV flashlight. Is there something special I should be looking for? Thanks!

do you use the FEP that came with the printer or did you replace it with an NFEP type? I have been having problems with my prints sticking to the FEP. my other smaller printers have NFEP and I have to issues. I purchased the Elegoo "release film", is that NFEP?

It looks like the arrangement of the saturn and saturn s models in the first comparison at least changes - sometimes the s is on the far left and sometimes in the middle. I'm basing this om the "loin cloth" that is missing on the saturn and saturn 2 (assuming the arrangement from the first view is correct / 1:37). Looking at the arrangement at 2:54 saturn S is now saturn.

I got an original Saturn just before the Saturn 2 came out, and I've had excellent results with it. I was totally sold on upgrading to a Saturn 2 at some point, but now I'm not so sure... from what you've shown, I can barely even tell the difference!

Why are the z-heights so drastically different in the barrels? Is it the warping or is it just THAT hard to get accurate Z with resin?

Hi Uncle Jessy, I want to ask you something. I need to use a Resine machine for professional use even though I have had zero experience. After watching your videos, I doubt which one to choose, Phenom Forge and Saturn 2 8k. I need a larger volume, but Phenom Forge seems so loud to remain in the same studio, and unfortunately, I have a single room to work. Do you think for professional use with smell and the noise, I should go for Saturn 2 or better to have Phenom Forge for a more straightforward pro process after print? 

Please produce a video comparing these two, but I don't know how many people are interested; although their built plates are large enough and still in the price range of Hobbyists to Half Professional, this may attract some people.

This is the 1st time im writing sometchig on youtube. Just wanted to say that comparing saturn to saturn 2 on the same settings is not the best idea. Try making tests when you decrease the exposure around 0.3 less and you should see a improvment.
