i am running lxd cluster on a esxi 6.5 vm ubuntu 20.04, i am stuck at "What subnet should be used as the Fan underlay? [default=auto]:', it detects my public ip auto and gives error "isn't a /16 or /24, please specify manually" i give it manually 10.10.0.1/16 but at the end i get error "Error: Failed to create network "lxdfan0" in project "default": Invalid value for network "lxdfan0" option "fan.underlay_subnet": Not an IPv4 network address "10.10.0.1/16", can you help sort out that?

Why not lxd cluster running on 3 lxc/lxd containers? Tried it? Possible?

Tried steps in video, i get error in node2 while it ask for erase all existing data. any solution

How to achieve the same end result without using vagrant? I don't want any Ruby dependencies on any of my machines, client or server. Terraform is okay, but not vagrant.

When you say "everything will be lost" when joining a cluster, I'm guessing you don't mean everything, right? Just the lxd local data and configuration would be lost. Or is it going to wipe the OS?
