I understand the tech differences, but what's the actual pros and cons in terms of cooling capability between Chilipad and Ooler? I keep reading some Ooler reviews saying it's actually warmer than the Chilipad, which concerns me.

I had the Ooler for a while but I'm noise sensitive and I couldn't sleep with the fan (even on low). I let my friend try it and she said it couldn't keep a very consistent temperature, so she didn't like it either. I was able to return it under their trial period but keep in mind they will deduct their shipping charges and you are responsible for return shipping charges. I spent about $90 between the two shipping charges, so it is an expensive trial period. Hopefully they will come up with better technology in the future as I do think cooler sleeping temperatures have lots of advantages. Thank you for your review.

How would something like the Ooler work with an adjustable Sleep Number bed? Is it durable enough for an adjustable bed?

I've been using the ChiliPad Cube for several years now, and it's kind of a love/hate thing for me. I love how it can heat or cool the body, but hate that I can't keep the pad to stay in place. I have a split top king adjustable bed, where the foot of the bed is solid all the was across, so using the hold down strap on the inside of the bed is impossible. I need a pad that is denser so maybe it would stay in place better. Are the pads of the Ooler heavier? I even tried safety pins to try to hold it down, and nearly ruined a VERY expensive cover on the bed.

Maybe this is answered, hard to find out at Chili site. Can I use the new gray pad you show with Ooler on my current older model Cube? I have a twin older chilipad mattress (just my side of our king bed, he is warm on his side) and it isnt working 100% after deep (HOT 4 hours) cleaning. I did empty pad and cube first. Once HOT I could feel exactly where tubes dont get hot. 1/4 of the pad. Chilli doesnt make that model twin anymore, so will the new half queen or king gray one for new OOler work on my cube to replace the twin i have? Seem pricy for JUST the new pad in half size.

being a chilipad user for 5 plus years, you cannot sleep without it. When I travel I get the worst sleep possible, and I can tell the second the chilipad is off a single degree.

The first night that I used it was a bad experience. I woke up and when I got out of bed, I forgot the unit was on the floor. I stepped on it, fell into my nightstand knocking my lamp to the floor (that broke). As I was turning to gain my balance, I reached out for something to grab and pulled my tv off the wall (that broke). I tried to save my tv, but threw my back out. I then fell onto the floor, ass first onto the broken bulb from the lamp. I had to get 8 stitches in my ass. Luckily, it didn't hurt when the glass when in, because my ass was still numb from the ChiliSleep. Other than that, it's a great product!

Do you think it is worth it over the chilipad? I'm looking to get one to help sleep in the hot summer and trying to figure out which to get. A different video the reviewer liked the pad from the chilipad better than the pad from the ooler pad. Any thoughts on that?

I just purchased the Ooler and last night was my second night sleeping with the system and I love it. The first night I had the temperature set too low and it was cold. The second night I adjusted the temp and it was much better. I live in Florida so I turn the AC down when I sleep. I don't feel the tubes in the pad and the fan noise does not interfere with my sleep. I use a Garmin sleep tracker and noticed I'm getting more deep sleep now with the Ooler system so it's thumbs up for me:)
