Luz isn't a stereotypical female lead with nothing but overwhelming joy and a love for unicorns. She's a character with real emotions, who has been through too much anyone should have to go through. So many of her friends and found family have been torn from her- Luz has watched Eda's curse take her over as she nearly turns to stone, she became trapped in the Isles away from her mother, and now even King, probably the most loyal of them all, sacrificed his own safety for Luz's.

They all wanted what was best for her, and she never saw that until it was too late.

The second animation with the bag over luz’s head, got me sobbing. No kid (especially one as bright and brilliant as Luz) should have to be put through that kind of bullying.

0:18 idk why but this frame in particular hit really hard to me. its a subtle frame but still gives a lot of emotions about luz being bullied and made fun of for being herself (all of them did but THIS frame hitted more harder to me)

I love how it shows the more... sadder side of Luz that usually goes unseen because of her bright personality.

The art and background is just awesome! I could definitely learn a thing or two from looking at your art.

The sad thing is that this is who Luz really is behind closed doors. This is who she's always been. A very emotionally broken kid. The eccentric and cheerful side of her was just a cover up to hide her pain and feelings of loneliness. I think the title of the video “Not Allowed” is referencing to what Luz is feeling with her believing that she's just not allowed to be happy. If that's the message you was going for then props to you. And what's sadder is that kids in real life (even younger) goes through personal issues like this.

To anyone who is going through this: “You are not alone.”

Poor Luz.. She's all alone.. She misses her dad, she was bullied all the time, she deserves so much better. I love how she isn't always happy-go lucky. She has feelings and she feels sad a lot. I can relate to her on so many aspects and I love the way this animation portrays that

The second part with Luz having a bag on her head breaks my heart I remember how that happened to me when I was only in year 2 (Second Grade in American Educational System I’m an Australian) I love how Luz isn’t the normal typical girl stereotype who likes the colour pink and is just happy and bright she is a young teenager going through her emotions and expressing her trauma of loosing her dad and being an outcast at school Luz really does showcase more representation of how trauma and bullying can affect a person physically, mentally, and emotionally Dana has really done a great Disney show that actually showcases a lot of meaning and emotions behind her characters and showcases great storytelling (Idk any other Disney shows because I didn’t grow up with the Disney Channel or Disney XD because Foxtel is expensive in Australia) and your animation and art style is beautiful along with the lighting and shading to accompany the music and the feeling this is absolutely a beautiful piece of a masterpiece please never stop what you’re doing ❤❤❤

I loved this video it shows how much tragedy and grief Luz had to go through started from losing her dad to being Bullied from Camila sending her to summer camp to going to the boiling Isles for helping Phillip up to the day of Unity to the Collector and up to now Wow💔 a lot to handle alone i hope she finally has peace in season 3 and amassing video.
