Welcome to the Mysteries of Mythology! In this episode, we delve into the captivating tale of Quetzalcoatl, a legendary figure who has inspired and fascinated civilizations throughout history. Known as the Feathered Serpent, Quetzalcoatl's story varies across different regions of Mesoamerica. Today, we focus on his origins within the mighty Toltec civilization.

From 900 to 1168 C.E., the Toltec Empire flourished as one of Mesoamerica's most powerful societies. Their capital city, Tula, was renowned for its opulent palaces adorned with gold and jewels. The Toltecs attributed their prosperity to Quetzalcoatl, a deity and former king whose reign marked a Golden Age for their empire.

Legend has it that Quetzalcoatl was born as Ce Acotl - a demigod with a human mother and Mixcoatl, the cloud serpent god. Tragically orphaned at birth when his mother passed away, baby Ce Acotl faced an uncertain future in a world where orphans often endured poverty or slavery. Friends of his mother attempted to save him from such hardships by trying to drown him in a river.

However, fate intervened as Ce Acotl miraculously floated among the river reeds instead of sinking beneath them. This extraordinary event would shape his destiny and set him on a path that would leave an indelible mark on Mesoamerican mythology.

Join us as we unravel the enigmatic legacy of Quetzalcoatl - from his humble beginnings to becoming an influential figure revered by many civilizations throughout time.

Quetzalcoatl isn’t just a god — he’s a bridge between earth and sky, man and divine, serpent and bird. The symbolism is so powerful and poetic. It’s amazing how deeply philosophy and astronomy were woven into Mesoamerican myths.

Thank you for this video. From my experience Quezocoatl is the part of something really profound that happened really far far far long, long, long ago. It is like the pebble dropped into the water surface. It creates ripples, waves. Quzocoatl is one of this ripples. Another is Jesus. But there are many, many more.
Thats why it is so similar.

Thats legacy of heart, legacy of sacrifice oneself for the good of all. Thats love so profound that shakes the reality itself.

It has such a strong magnitude that it inspire others(like Aztecs) to copycat this with sacrificing the others. But thats mockery of it. Yes, still it is really strong, but also toxic. Eventually killing the perpetuator and his society, legacy.

This ritual cannot be forced by ones will and want. It is originated from one´s heart. To love so much that there is a will to do the unthinkable and with that, renew the world.

Quetzalcoatl has appeared in video games, he was a thunder based summon monster in Final Fantasy 8, and he was a god that could be in your party in a Shin Megami Tensei game, only in human form.

Great video, only wish you had shown FF8 when talking about the summon as he's not a summon in the og FF7 or remake but I'm just a huge nerd lol. Love your stuff!

23:54 This could be a metaphor event which represents ETs coming to help him. Together with the ETs they created hybrids with his DNA, with the humanoid DNA from the bones and with ET DNA spliced together and then inserted into a cygote and implanted into wombs possibly ET women's wombs or eggs. This must have taken a long time at least 20 years for the new generation of hybrids to become adults. I don't think he cut off his penis. This seems to be more like an added shock value that was given to the story later on. He certainly gave some of his blood so that they could use his DNA.

I wish a movie accurately depicting his life gets created. I'm sure Hollywood hasn't made a remake of the 1982 movie *Q: The Winged Serpent* 😅

15:22 Did they really think he had 12 fingers or is this just an AI/CGI mistake?

This sounds a lot like the story of Ausar BKA Osiris 😢 but the Navajo tradition says something about people who came pretending to be God's and demanded to be worshiped and a war between them took place
