I got fooled by a fake CAT tourniquet

The market is flooded with clever fakes, and people will do anything for money even if it means your life.

This just looks like it’s from 2006. The ones back then weren’t as good; they did break. That’s why they made improvements. Still not entirely sure it’s a fake. The original ones didn’t have the red tip or white/gray time etc.

Edit: Yup, the website is the actual CAT website, not a fake knock off website. You simply have a Generation 1 or 2 TQ; we are now on Gen 7. I have several of these—not fake, just old.

You should name the seller.  Public shaming and warning who not to buy from.  Make sure you give negative feedback after you get your money back and also let them know they are liable if someone dies from one of their fakes failing.

Best option. Keep a length of double sided velcro, and your mini flashlight. Able to wrap and velcro shut band. Then insert flashlight and twist tight. Extra length of velcro wrap over flashlight and velcro shut. Bingo-bango - inexpensive.

idk that anyone was cleaver. i think people are just cheap and naive. buy from a reputable company and avoid being duped.
