A very good explanation by the Sheikh....jazakumullah khairan. I too get confused by the so called percentages on the capital investments given by Islamic they are halal or haram. Today I learnt how to deal with this khairan once again.

Islamic banks give an indicative percentage of like 4% based on the previous months' performance..

The amount of profit that will actually be distributed to the account holder/investor is based on the profit earned by the Islic bank: it may be 4% or more or less

I don’t understand why banks like this say they’re Islamic. If it’s riba just say it how it is. The name Islamic banks makes people think riba Is halal. It’s really deceiving.

Yes Riba is Riba.

Any surplus on savings is usually interest which we must dispose of and give to chariry
