Presenting Ordigort - Black metal that sounds as much like the Undertones as it does Darkthrone; MC5 vs Mayhem or Stooges clashing with Satyricon, this is an exhilarating debut release (albeit not these band members first rodeo) of post-black(?) modern ‘alternative’ black metal. Loose, garagey black n’ roll, torrents of punk, with a perfectly caustic screeching vocal that is as playfully inventive as the music itself, cut with a bleak, dark undercurrent of urbane dirt and deadly seriousness.
In their own words, “Never nihilistic nor pessimistic, Malthusian in ire yet ecstatic of the possibilities that lurk between the folds”.
