Master MBZ technician 12 years and was team leader at my MBZ dealership for the Sprinter team. Once Sprinters were made in the USA (the 907 chassis), manufacturing defects went sky high through the roof. The 906's made in Germany had almost 0% defects. Sprinters made in the USA were rife with problems which were covered under warranty. The 906's pre- 2017 could easily go 300, 000 -500, 000 miles on the 6 cylinder turbodiesel, made in Berlin, GER. 100, 000 mile emissions warranty after VW Dieselgate scandal. The OM651 4 cylinder mabey 150-200, 000 but great torque and better mileage. When the USA started making Sprinters, the quality suffered greatly. Extremely poor quality and attention to detail when made in the USA. To make Sprinters in the USA is a cheap labor force compared to Germany.

News flash, people have been buying up lots of Sprinter vans for over a decade now. Talk about behind the times. Ford and Dodge already saw this and now have some pretty good competitions for the sprinter. FORD TRANSIT VAN, BUY IT!
