Out now on Inheritance

My life flows on in endless song
Above earth’s lamentation
I hear the sweet though far off hymn
That hails a new creation
Through all the tumult and the strife
I hear the music ringing
It finds an echo in my soul
How can I keep from singing

What though my joys and comforts die
The Lord my Savior liveth
What though the darkness gather round
Songs in the night He giveth
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that refuge clinging
Since Christ is Lord of Heav’n and earth
How can I keep from singing

I lift mine eyes the cloud grows thin
I see the blue above it
And day by day this pathway smoothes
Since first I learned to love it
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart
A fountain ever springing
All things are mine since I am His
How can I keep from singing

I am going through the hardest time in my life I have ever had. I play piano at church, and our worship leader picked this song out yesterday. I loved it so much, I started searching different versions of it last night. I came across this one. Audrey, I have listened to this over and over. I have shared it with many of my friends. This song is healing my soul. Thank you for allowing God to work through you to share His love and mercy. Truly, my soul is being touched and strengthened in this dark time because of your singing and video. I thank Jesus for you.

I just recently discovered Audrey. WOW---she has the most beautiful voice that I think I have ever heard in my life of 67 years.

Although my joys and comforts die, the Lord my Savior liveth. What a beautiful reminder, that God is still living and watching and seeing you.

I lost my daughter to sids a few months ago and I thought of this song. It encompasses how I feel. The sorrow, my faith, and my hope in the future.

Amen, this is my song throughout this darkest night that is the corona virus pandemic. We get anxious as to when this will end, and how it has greatly affected our hope for the future, but I sing:

What though my joys and comforts die?
I know my Savior liveth
What though the darkness gather round?
Songs in the night he giveth
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that refuge clinging
Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?

This song is so beautiful because it tells us Christians that the very fact that Christ is Lord, should give us a reason to always sing and rejoice.

When I look at Creation....when I see His work at Calvary....when I see he is risen to Gods right hand...when I look at his saving work in me..."How can I keep from singing"

I've decided she has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.

My grandmother is coming to the end of her road. Thank you for this song. I'm getting through the days.

I am a pastor in the United Church of Christ. I sang this song at my ordination in 1988. "And day by day my pathway smooths since first I learned to love it..."

Amazing, !! My grandmother taught us this song and others in my mother tongue! I wept hearing it after so many years. God bless you as you continue lifting Him up through the gift He has blessed you with
