Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway and famous value investor, talks about how he finds investment ideas. Buffett and Charlie Munger focus on building a deep knowledge of business and industries to be able to identify profitable investment opportunities. This is accomplished by reading company’s annual reports and financial publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, and Fortune Magazine. Buffett and Munger use their financial expertise to quickly analyze the financial statements of companies they are considering. This question was asked at the 2003 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting.
