My dad was lucky enough to grow up on a farm that included horses. Dad befriended many a neighbor's horse. Even had a "pet horse" named Tilley. On the way home from school, Dad would whinny as he walked near Tilley's home. Tilley would answer back and come running to greet Dad. I know enough about farm life to know life is hard on the farm, but Dad's horse stories always made me a little envious.

There’s a neighborhood where I walk. This home is on a corner lot with a huge fenced area. One alpha mare, three donkeys and one mini donkey. They never come over to the fence. I played this and they all put their ears forward. Eventually came over. They knew the sound was coming from me.
