The Birth of Tragedy (full name - "The Birth of Tragedy Out of Spirit of Music") is a classic text on the theory of drama and one of the earliest works by Friedrich Nietzsche which was published in 1872. For this meetup we will be discussing the first part (sections 1-13) of this seminal work by Nietzsche that laid the foundation for the iconic dichotomy of Apollonian and Dionysian elements in literature and art.
