My buddy has one of these saws, I have a ryobi that runs like a top never had an issue. Couldn't get his right, never ran right out of the box. Video was immensely helpful!

Start at 1 turn out, hallelujah... couldn't get it to idle right, but I started with high idle screw and low screw at 1 full turn out and that was the sweet spot. Thank you so much for putting this out, I was close to giving up. Keep up the good work.

For the beginners out there they could always take the bar off too just to start for safety lol bench vise works really well too IF you have access to one

Where do you get that tool to adjust with

Which tool worked for yours? I have the same saw and the bolt looks like a single d but that one doesn’t turn the adjustment screw also the high adjustment screw looks bent so that you can’t even get the tool around it, should I just buy a new carb?

So i have the EXACT same model as the chainsaw your working on. I watched your video several times and literally used it to perform the same thing on my chainsaw. And it worked HOWEVER, HOWEVER, my carb tool was NOT SPLINED. It was PACMAN!!! I dont know why and it’s obviously strange.

I went over my Ryobi 3714 (same) 'cause it wouldn't keep running and would lose power even if it did run, I went over fuel filter (pulled it out to look at it) air filter (cleaned it), pulled muffler etc. Couldn't find anything wrong, its only 6 months old, used a bit. Squirted carb cleaner, a lot of it, into the carb. NOW the engine doesn't even run, grrr ... what did I do? PS- In the fuel tank there is the fuel filter with its hose PLUS another different yellow hose that has a disconnected END, the end is just sitting loose in the fuel tank, is that normal?
Thank-you :)

hey buddy, i ordered that exact tool from your link, i tried using it but couldnt get it to go all the way on either adjusting screw. i would just turn and turn but neither one would move. The key tool i got was like a 21 teeth sided star or something but my carb is like the 21 teeth star but it has a single notch on it. it just wouldnt fit all the way on. I even took my carb out of the saw and saw it wasnt working. Tried to turn it with a nail but its too tight. maybe i should just cut the outside with a grinder or something so i can turn it? thanks
