I think it just goes to show how good the best players are that matchups normally considered easier or a skill matchup are downright hard against them.

azzapp is INSANE on vel'koz. jayce isn't even showmaker's top 10 played champ. this is part velkoz not being a very strong champ, part jayce being a decently strong champ, part showmaker being a genius of midlane, and part azzapp being a flexible player who plays multiple roles to a high level of proficiency but isn't a one lane player.

I like how Azzapp doesn't just go the classic "I could have done better" but actually admits that Showmaker was so good that he couldn't find a weakness in a champion he (Azzapp) had traditionally beaten.

All the more reason I'm happy they're bringing back honoring opponents. I definitely have had times where me playing my best just wasn't good enough because my opponent was just better and I'd like to reward that somehow.
