Bleriot XI rebuild

Changed the foamboard rear fuselage to dowel and bamboo framework for a more authentic look. Nowhere near actual scale detail but it flies and looks retro enough in the sky.

Nicely done, Andrew. The pilot looked relaxed the entire time - love the wheel spokes too 😁

You have to remember that the original was probably a real dog to fly as well. Co-ordinated turns a must.

Really nice mate I'm happy to see this plane is a work in progress.
I liked this plane as a simple scratch build, I like it more like this can't wait to see the next mods.

I've been wanting to do something like that for a bit. :)

Ohhh that behavior that make the plane turn like it will make a knife edge allways happend when i use to make planes with no dihedral and small vertical stabilizer, very accurate your point of make it bigger. Nobody believe me in my flight field, :D

Nice flying plane. And it can fly so slow. Looks to have a pretty wide flight envelope. Well done ;-) See you in the Air!

That Dowel and bamboo stick tail structure must be quite think the original also had an undercambered wing too....The fin also looks too small to me Andrew?

Always enjoy your video, entertaining and educational. Off topic, do you plan to get and review the new Jumper T16 transmitter?

Its noticeable, about dropping the tail when banking.

Is the sky so blue in the last section from wing cam or is it a polarizing filter?

Nice plane, great progress

Looked great flying Andrew
Just banking the problem appears
Do you think the weight of the frame is too much?
U may have to lighten it in some way maybe carbon rods or shortening the frame but that takes away its great looks
It will b interesting to see your outcome
👏

Good looking scratch build. I'm sure you'll work out the quirks before the Channel crossing.Any thoughts on trying a Wright Flyer?

The following could be useful to get the plane more scale like, and possibly resolve the banking drop tail issue.

Oh yes, Andrew builds!
As luck would have it, 10 minutes before, I had looked at another Blériot, a little bigger ...
