Very nice work on the Mig29 I love to see special schemes, that large decal looks like a challenge. Great end result.

i still use the brushes, i know that the air brush help you to give a looks more realistic to the model but i will use forever the brush.

Looks great! I'm building it right now and just seeing how other modelers paint the color scheme and build. A tip that I have seen a lot for the panel lines is clear coating with spray paint(gloss clear). Then adding diluted black oil paint as a wash then clear coating flat. it might not make sense at first but if you look up "model oil wash" on YT you'll be golden. just what ever you question is go on youtube and look up "how to" and you'll probably find some tips. I haven't tried the oil wash yet. I'm going to on this current model and see how it goes. Good luck!

This MIG is used to this days by "23 Baza Lotnictwa Taktycznego" (23 Tactical Air Base) in Mińsk mazowiecki in Poland - I live 5km from that Base :) The pilot in 2016 who flying on it on Air show its Cpt, Adrian Rojek (past 2017 is retired, his hours on MIG is 1666 hours)- Best of the best, his teacher on MIG29 was Lut. Robert "Ivan" Kozak (died in 2012 in road accident), also very agressive and talented pilot :D Thanks for that build ;)

I would suggest you to buy an airbrush, it will make life more easy for you & the model finish will be superb, first go for a single action airbrush then a double action as you progress.

Great job on cockpit - well done! But the surface of model was nearly destroyed by fat layer of paint and brush techniq: the easiest way to paint such big surfaces is ordinary spray (can) with proper colour paint inside. It's much more easier also much more fast method. Cheers.

I think thin propelling - pencil is ok for panel lines on grey aircraft .

Absolutely a master piece! You sure did it right. I have the same model but not nearly as nice as yours. Congratulations!

A nice MiG-29 indeed. If you ask for suggestions, I would try to improve paint texture at this point, but as a whole the model is really nice. BTW., where was the air show you saw the MiG?

Beautiful model and is yet not finished.. Very good choice of yours as Revell is no longer a good one. Trumpeter, very expensive but maybe, with the highest quality as well as Hasegawa. Congratulations!

Are you trying to sound like you’re about to start crying or is that your natural voice?
