Check out my TAB website (lotsa free tabs and videolessons)

Cab Calloway recorded this in 1933 and many others after him.
My version is based on Mike Dowling's which you can find it on his first and imo best cd called "Swamp Dog Blues"
Mike plays it with a flatpick but since I'm no good at that I chose to play it with bare fingers on my 1953 Gibson L50
Harold Streeter tabbed out Mike's version (mine is slightly different)

You are brilliant sir. I love the dark image except it makes it harder to see the doggy.

One of my favourite songs..I have the Jimmy Witherspoon version which I bought on a 45 in the 60s! Another great song, Money's Getting Cheaper is on the flip side.
I saw Mike Dowling, who is a superb player by the way, give a guitar workshop a few years ago and he played Evenin' but it was completely different version. He played it in Fm with different chords and at a much much slower tempo.
I like Swamp Dog Blues but for me his best CD is Bottomlands which is all instrumental.
