For the record, I only printed the first page of every file Facebook gave me and then used blank pages to represent the rest of the stack that it would have been had I printed it...so please no comments about being unfriendly to the environment 😂😆 Thanks for watching and commenting! I downloaded my file right before I deleted my account. I was blown away at how free and open I was as a teenager with my freaking posts, including going as far as to post my phone number. Seeing myself as a Facebook statistic is what started me down the path of securing my online privacy.

In an age where information is the most valuable currency, what’s the best solution to prevent malicious use and manipulation? Government regulation? A universal “declaration of online rights?” It seems like more countries are becoming addicted to the power that comes with such intimate knowledge of their citizenry. I don’t see how we solve it.

This is good. In addition to discouraging the use of facebook, I encourage the use of script blockers and ad blockers. Ads are ok, but many contain trackers so they deserve to be blocked.

I was absolutely shocked to see how much was in my "off-facebook" data. Apps I used to have on my phone, plenty of sites I've visited and had no idea they were sending data to fb. Especially one website that blogged about privacy and sold privacy tools. So rude, eh?!.
Great video, very eye opening. :)

This is what mean. I've never had an account, never been to the webpage and went so far as to block the site at my router for a while. My last two routers didn't have that feature. Still, I know for certain that I'm all over FaceBook since as early as 2007 or earlier, mostly because of in-laws but more importantly because everyone (businesses) is sharing your information without letting you know they will do that.

A lot of really good points here. These are the ones I do (some of them are akin to those in the video).
* I have never logged in to facebook in my main browser. I have one browser that I only use for facebook. I don't use the app.
* If I for some odd reason want to upload a photo, I resize it to 1280px max and at the same time strips the info in my image editor
* I never check in anywhere
* I never tag anyone, and if I am tagged myself I remove the tag
* Very little personal information on my facebook page.

Great video as always, went through something similar before I removed my account and reopened one under a different name for closer family and friends but with a higher focus on limited info sharing and security. Incredible how much info I gave them back in high school a decade ago without even a thought. Just crazy.

Pretty much it went over my head and tech skills. Yet I can see that you have a good grasp of the content to help us. Thank you

Very informative video. We use an old tablet for facebook only to assist with privacy. We don’t use it for anything else, no internet searches, no emails, nothing.

This is a very interesting video, well explained and broken down. But IMO, you can't stop Facebook from tracking you except you stop using their platform or affiliate apps.

Secondly, except your info has been false or anonymous online. They would always track you.

Sad truth.
Facebook basically does OSINT 😂

This is a very important video!
One question is that, if I add extensions like Facebook container won't that add to my browser fingerprint? How to counter it?
Thankyou. 🙌🏻

The Facebook I use is "not mine" there are 0 personal information. O check-ins (other than the ones I need for convenience of my business) 0 "real" info. 0 tags allowed, I do not tag anyone either, I don't click on any ad, I don't have "friends" in it (mostly companies ) I do believe no one can really know who I am thru it.

Great video. Thanks for the information. In the country im living in there is a gap in cyber security law. There is no way to get caught even if you was hacked. Is the same in your countries ? I even found lawmakers to change the loopholes in the law. Still nothing.
