In my intention to leave the world a better place as I go through life, I decided that I wanted to create a complete course of tutorials in sound design, or how to make your own synthesis presets. I will walk through my thought process, some classic sound examples, and techniques used in making production ready sounds and presets for your synthesizer.
This tutorial teaches how to make analog house stabs on the Moog Grandmother and some of the many variations that are possible.
I have elected to use the Moog Grandmother as my analog synthesis example, due to its ease of use, and I'm using Serum and Omnisphere as my DAW or computer based example synths. This course will be agnostic towards brands and categories and will approach the knowledge of sound design in a way that lets you use whatever synth you have available to try out making your owns sounds. I want to empower you to experiment as much as your heart desires.
This tutorial will be useful to film composers, EDM, trance, house, and other electronic music producers.
