As much as I like going there, I think this is gonna be the last Intermodellbau for me. The main reason is how they pull down the military content every year. Back in 2014, my first visit, they had a whole hall dedicated for military only. You had multiple events, lots of clubs and many online modelling stores who had their stand there.
2 years later, military was merged together with other stuff in a hall. So it has been cut in half, but still with good content.
This year however, it has been completely cut down. Military wasn't even really a category anymore, it was just one small part of a big hall. It had only two stands: 1 club and 1 RC area (as in video). There wasn't even a single shop to buy anything anymore either.

The reasons could be the results of Corona or inflation. But most likely it is because of the current war going on, just my guess.

The other reason is just the lack of innovation. If you watch my older Intermodellbau videos (2014-2018) you would see absolutely no difference. It looks like I have been filming all videos on a single day. There are the same stands, same models, same people. I mean just look at the tank clips, there has been literally no new RC tanks or any change in the show. It is the exact same stuff like in 2014.

So in conclusion I think that's it, at least when it comes to videos like this. I have no problem going again, but I ain't gonna do the filming anymore really. Maybe we can gather together for a fan-meetup next year or something, if we somehow survive till then.
Still, this is not meant to be a negative rant. It is and it always will be fun to experience this event. And thank you Intermodellbau and Messe Dortmund for making this happen.

i would love to see such things were i live but there's no chance lol, i still appreciate that you showed those clips it's still something. but there's almost nothing military, why? i would've loved to see more stands like that.
