In 2017, the world lost entertainers and leaders, activists and icons. Two were women behind landmark Supreme Court decisions. Edith Windsor, the LGBT activist whose case led to federal recognition of same-sex marriage, died in September at the age of 88. Norma McCorvey, who was the plaintiff in Roe v. Wade, died in February at the age of 69.

Lost so many greats of our entertainment past feels like more passes this year than 2016

I intentionally avoided mention of artists that died in 2017 because some of my favorite performers all died in 2017. These strangers and legends that seem to float on clouds and then like ships in the night pass us by. But, I honestly feel that half or more of these people mentioned were not the best examples of musical influence in the world. I understand it is difficult to choose and ultimately these people all had families and people who loved them. Objectively speaking from a strictly musical influence better serves the point of the Grammys. And in my opinion, I feel the committee should not have voted for people outside the music industry. The Academy Awards does tributes every year as well, and several of the philanthropists, politicians, activists and even actors were given screen time that otherwise could have been used for musicians and music industry pros. It's a touchy subject, but it's like the musicians and performers that passed weren't given the memorandum they deserved. Again, it was a few years ago, but I felt like I was watching half of what I should have seen. R.I.P Chester, Chris and everyone mentioned. Special mention to Kim Jonghyun of the outstanding Kpop group Shinee who was not mentioned here, but in my opinion is the greatest modern male singer and performer I have heard and had the pleasure to see, albeit too late.

You mention Norma McCorvey being a pro-choice advocate and Roe V Wade plaintiff, but forgot to mention she ended up changing her mind and became a staunch pro life advocate.

you should also show pictures/addresses, of the recipient's of the assets of these celebrities, along with their drug dealers, and all those corrupt lawfirms/bankers/agents who stole from them all along their successful careers, that's the beginning of a new REALITY TV show series, -called 'LOOK WHO'S LAUGHING NOW'!
