Firefighters remain concerned about a bushfire in the Grampians region of Victoria, as dense bushland and high fuel loads make fighting the fire challenging.

Sky News Weather Presenter Rhiannon Elston says the fire thus far has burnt 33,000 hectares.

Some towns have been evacuated on Saturday including major tourist destination Halls Gap.

If only backburning was allowed...
No wonder "plenty of fuel to burn"

Without bushfires in Australia, many native plant species in fire prone regions would simply die out.

Parks Victoria should be disbanded for being racial activists and blocking Aussie citizens from visiting our own land.

So if the government have given the land rights back to the first nations does this mean they have to manage the land and potential fire risks.. surely they would be liable if any harm came to other people..

There would be less of a chance of high fire danger if horses were eating the grass instead of being used for the melbourne cup, as well as using them, cattle, sheep and goats to eat the grass instead of mowing and whipper snipping, petrol is flammable also
