I found this tutorial to be the best explained tutorial so far. Drupal seems to lack sufficient user tutorials. Thank you for providing this one. 

I combined this one with a tutorial for building a theme from the ground up and finally everything started click. I have been bashing my head trying to understand drupal... probably because i over analyse things.. Now that i have this part figured out thanks to you I can move on to learning other parts of drupal that arent so user friendly lol

Terrific tutorial! You obviously have a lot of knowledge about front-end web development. I appreciate that you're sharing this. Most online tutorials are simplified examples. Yours seems like it could be an actual customer job that you are working on. I like the fact that you show the entire thought process -- how you decide to change region and DIV assignments, etc, based on how the page starts to come together. I've done mainly server-side development. This tutorial gives me a better appreciation for all the detail involved in front-end development.

Watched the tutorial again. First time I had to bail out cause I couldn't take the things I mentioned below. However, in all honesty, this tutorial is in some respects better than most you find on the web. He at least deals with a real world situation, and works pretty much with full customization. Unlike others that wanna incorporate other modules and so forth.

I still wish it was more polished. About a half hour or more could be saved from this video if it were edited and did not include his on the fly decisions. I like to see people present things better.

This is a great tutorial and it's free - there's some bitching in the comments but you've taken the time to put this together and share. It's good to see how thoughts change as the project progresses, it allows for a trial and error approach which makes the tutorial more real.
