The first edition of the Spengler Cup was staged in 1923 and is an annual invitational ice hockey tournament held in Davos, Switzerland.
The event is hosted by the Swiss team HC Davos in the Vaillant Arena and played each year in Davos between Christmas and New Year's Day.
The participating teams of the 90th Spengler Cup are known. In addition to the host Hockey Club Davos and the defending champion Team Canada, the both teams of the KHL HK Dinamo Minsk and Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, the Czech top team Mountfield HK as well as the Hockey Club Lugano will compete at this year's tournament.
