Knewton is amazing. It makes learning the SAT an enjoyment.

Knewton just did more to improve the quality of education than the DoE has done since its inception in 1980, that isn't saying all that much though.

So when will we actually see anything like this from Knewton? I've been following Knewton for years now, and I don't understand why you guys haven't rolled out anything like this yet.

That sounds great - that sounds too good.
Efficient learning needs more than complete "black box" adaptation. It needs motivation, regulation of emotion, regulation of cognition, ...
Adaptive Learning can help - will help.
But it needs some more human touch ...
... and even some failure.

This is terrifying.  Completely de-personalized education masquerading as BEING "personalized".  Kids don't learn mostly because they simply don't want to.  It's not that they can't learn, they don't WANT to learn.  You could be dancing the tarantella while teaching and some students will still choose not to learn.  This will not change that.
