If the encrypted values are once deployed on github, if someone else wants to clone the repository and try running it, how will he know the key? Where should key be stored?

Hi. Thank you very much for this helpful presentation. I just have a question. I'm trying to run the following code below for my 'dev' profile but it is not working although it builds successfully. It only works in the default profile. Do you know how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

mvn jasypt:encrypt -Dspring.profiles.active=dev

Very well explained sir! How to do this encryption if we have multiple passwords to encrypt, if I define multiple vm arguments like -Djasypt.encryptor.password = -Djasypt.encryptor.password = it takes only the last value we provide

Hi. If we are deploying our application where do we have to store the key? Coz if someone knows the key he can easily decrypt the password. Right?

Questions 1: How to resolve for issue like- "No plugin for prefix 'jasypt' " while running mvn jastpt: encrypt cmd?

Question 2: How does it come across with ENC(<encrypted pasword>) from application.properties file, while running spring boot application using cmd?
