Introducing… Vamp-Por, the Vampirella from the dawn of time with dark secrets of her own, and Futurella, the Sci-Fi Vampirella hellbent on helping save the Fabric of reality created by the Artist. But has Bloodwing finally gained the upper hand in her quest to reshape all existence in her twisted image?
In Vampirella/Dracula: Unholy, kidnapped by dark forces while on their honeymoon, Vampirella and her new husband Matt are confronted with, and tempted by, the darkest sides of themselves as time runs out for them to complete the blood rite required to prevent the resurrection of the deadliest threat the world has ever known. Meanwhile, back home, Matt becomes the target of a murder investigation as his secret life is exposed.
Vampirella was a late addition but still popular addition to the camp style science fiction comics of the 1960s. Her first appearance was in the first issue of the same series that she shared her name with. The creative team on this first issue included Don Glut, Forrest J. Ackerman and Tom Sutton. After being purchased by Harris comics she was relaunched in 1991 as one of the wave of “bad girl” characters including Witchblade, Lady Death, Lara Croft and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and in fact the artistic style was also incorporated to a certain degree at the more mainstream companies of DC Comics and Marvel). While some publishers (such as Top Cow) used the popularity of these characters to branch off into other genres, Vampirella was essentially the only property at Harris. Her first appearance at Harris was in the miniseries Vampirella: Morning in America. She would later go on to be published by other companies as well, though her origin remained in line with the Harris version.
Avengelyne is an angel of the one true God, Jehovah, known to her and the other angels as the Lord of Hosts. She was created from light, known as the white fire, the source of an angels divine power. Being an angel, she felt no pain or other 'human' senses and endured as long as God would allow it. Avengelyne is a Seraph and belongs to the Warhost, God's warrior angels whose host numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
Avengelyne is one of the most powerful Seraphs in the Warhost and one of God's favorite angels. Along with the angel Micah, they became feared even to the demons of Hell. Once, Avengelyne stormed Pandemonium, the citadel of the Dragon (the Devil) on her own, killing tens of thousands of demons before having to retreat. As Seraph, Avengelyne was totally fearless and extremely powerful.
Micah, having bad intentions of his own, convinced Avengelyne to question God one day, since she was so highly favored. As faithful followers, they wondered why God favored the humans who constantly embraced the dragon. God was extremely angered by Avengelyne questioning his judgment and she was cast from Heaven to live among the humans as a mortal.
With all of her angelic powers gone except super strength, she soon felt the vulnerabilities and experiences of the human race. They overwhelmed her and she sought refuge at a Catholic church known as St. Augustine's. Naked and scared, Avengelyne was taken in by Father Malory and Father Peter Clifton.
With unknown parentage, Amora was born in Asgard, and at a young age, she began to learn the ways of magic as an apprentice of Karnilla. However, she would soon be banished for being too undisciplined. Amora quickly decided to train herself in the ways of magic by seducing other sorcerers, forcing them to reveal their ancient secrets to her. In time, Amora became one of the most powerful sorceresses in all of Asgard. She was also very adept in the use of manipulation and charm to get her way.
