I have run MANY calculations and to my knowledge CPU randomX mining will actually be more profitable than GPU mining once EIP 1559 gets implemented. The most profitable CPU's are obviously the higher core count CPU's. However, you do have to watch the memory bandwidth as the different platforms have different numbers of memory channels.

The maximum H/s is about 8000-13000H/s per channel give or take depending on memory speeds. This means that absolute theoretical maximum on Ryzen desktop is 26000H/s, Threadripper 52000H/s and Threadripper Pro/Epyc 104000H/s. Unfortunately the threadripper Pro and Epyc platform you will be hard pressed to get anywhere near the theoretical maximum because of the lack of high speed memory support and tuning options. The best I have seen on threadripper Pro is around 54000H/s and Epyc around 92000H/s with dual 64 core CPU's.

I built a 5900X-equipped PC for music production and recently got into mining just for fun. I haven't done any optimisations yet. The biggest optimisations I've done so far are enabling huge pages and disallowing the CPU to turbo lol.

Currently, I'm getting just under 9800 H/s. 18/24 threads are used (not sure why. Cache limit?), 3.55GHz limit, CPU draws 80W.

2x16GB 3600MHz RAM, haven't touched timings yet.

I could push the hash rate up to 11k if I allow the CPU to boost to 4.6GHz, but then it also eats 180W, so I decided not to do this.

Overall, it's a fun and interesting experience, though I probably won't get into this in a serious way. As it stands, I'm barely breaking even lol

I have a Ryzen 7 3700X running at 4.6ghz all-core @ 1.4v. Stable 100% of the time. Healthy temps.
You can probably do around 4.4ghz 1.4v with 3900X.

About that hiveos thing, i don't know anything about it but it's probably based on linux, and to run a program as admin in linux you need to start it from the terminal and type sudo before example "sudo xmrig"

I'm not so much familiar with HiveOS UI, but it should have run as root option somewhere to check. I know SMOS have that option since some mining software need that run as admin or Linux run as root, for additional options in command.
Try to find run as root and I guess you'll get the same results.
