I'm a guy so this one didn't even apply to me but the 1st time I ever realized how much of a scam nearly every advertised product is Came the 1st time I heard a shampoo commercial merchant praise themselves because their shampoo included vitamin E. I was a freshman in high school and I was going through a cooking and nutrition class and we had just learned everything there is to know about every kind of vitamin that human beings can utilize.

The only vitamin it's possible to absorb without ingesting it is vitamin D which you get from sunlight. You can't absorb vitamin E through your hair. But women gladly paid an extra buck at the store for it.

Also love how the government tracks your income, capital gains, etc. Takes money every paycheck. Then makes You calculate it at the end of the year, pay more if you owe more, and Maybe give you some of the extra they took if they took too much.
Then will jail you or make you pay extra fees if you or someone you hired calculates it wrong..

Getting rings for special occasions, like proposing and such… they aren’t required but it’s become such a heavy “thing to do” or “I have to have this before I propose”, no you don’t; It’s just an easy way for jewelry companies to cash in money from you.
