Boolean operations in figma, this video is the part of our figma full course in hindi series. In this video you will learn about boolean operations options and we will create simple things quickly to show how to use boolean operations in figma.
There are 4 types of boolean operations in figma:
1. Union selection in Figma
This figma tool will combine two or more shapes.
2. Subtract selection in Figma
This figma tool will subtract one shape with another shape that is above it.
3. Intersect selection in Figma
This figma tool will left a common overlapped part of the two shapes.
4. Exclude selection in figma
This figma tool will exclude a common overlapped part of the two shapes.

Through these boolean operations, we can create various icons easily. Let's see in this video how we can do it.

q1
Boolean operations combine any set of shape layers through one of four formulas
1)union operation: Union will merge multiple shapes together. You’ll be surprised to see that most icons use this technique. For example, when you combine to have 3 lines, you get a Hamburger menu.
2)Substract selection: Subtract will subtract a single shape or multiple shapes from the main shape (the one at the bottom). It's important to note that all subsequent shapes will always be subtracted from the main shape.
3) intersect selection: Intersect will show the space where 2 shapes meet. While this is not a popular technique compared to Union and Subtract, this is a good way to experiment with new shapes.
4) exclude selection: Exclude will show the space where 2 shapes don’t meet.

Union selection, subtract selection, intersect selection, and exclude section are used to make icons. These selections work so fast and so easy .there are many Ui designers who use these selections

Union selection: two layers merge into one. Similar to that of grouping. Though it is not grouping but still both or more than both layers merge into one.
Subtract selection:- It means when amongst the two or more than two layers, one is cut from the other leading to the formation of a whole new shape.
Intersect Selection:- Amongst the two layers, one common part is left.
Exclude selection: - It removes the common area between two or more shapes.

These boolean operations are used for making icons.

1) Union selection is merge two object
2) Substraction selection is cut one of them two object
3) Intersect selection is cut outer part of two
abject and show joining part of two object
4) Exclude selection it is opposite of intersect selection it show outer edge of two abject

1 union selection 2 shape ko merge ker deta hai

2 substract selection 2 shape jab apas me hote jo shape sabse uper hote hai wo jitne area cover kerte hai itne area cut ho jate hai

3 intersect selection jab 2 shape apas me overlap hote hai to jo ek centre ka shape bante hai wo rah jata hai baki k shape hide ho jate hai

4 exclude selection jab do shape apas me overlap hote hai jo center k ek shape banta hai hide ho jate hai baki k shape dikhte rahte hai

Boolean opertions are 1. union (for addition) 2. subtract selection (front shape will cut off) 3. intersect (only that part will show which is occupying area in both shapes 4. exclude selection (it exclude a common overlapped part of the two shapes)

2) Substraction selection- it cut one of them two object

Boolean features are use in figma mostly use to make icons mostly.

There are 4 main boolean opreation.
Union Selection = 2 shapes akhti ho jati hain.

i give an example of these in simple

Imagine you have cookie cutters in different shapes. You can use them on dough (your shapes in Figma) to create new shapes in fun ways!

Union (Combine): This is like pressing the cookie cutters together. The dough takes the shape of both cutters combined, with any overlap squished together.

Subtract (Cut Out): This is like using one cookie cutter to punch a hole out of another. The first shape (cutter) stays whole, but the second shape (dough) loses the part where they overlap.

Intersect (Overlap): This is like finding the sweet spot where two cookie cutters overlap. The new shape is only the dough where both cutters touched.

Exclude (Don't Overlap): This is the opposite of Intersect. Imagine using the cookie cutters to keep dough out of certain areas. The new shape is all the dough except where the cutters overlapped.

These operations let you create cool new shapes from your existing ones in Figma, making design more fun and efficient!

Char type Ke boolen operation :
(1)union selection
(2)subtract selection
(3)intersect selection
(4)exclude selection
*(1)union selection : ek layer ban ne ke liye jab shape hi ek banana hai to union selection use hota hai
(2) subtract selection : arrow type shape banane ke liye hum ise use kar sakte hai jo uper vali layer hoti hai vo niche vali layer se subtract hoti hai
(3)intersect selection : 2 shape ke bich me comman part bachta hai baki sab delete ho jata hai isko use karte hue alag alag chezz bana sakte hai jaise ki ek individual layer ho
(4)exclude selection : comman part hat jayega or jo do side ki shapes hogi vo rah jati hai
** boolean operation icon bananae mai use jyada hota hai

Boolean operations combine any set of shape layers through one of four formulas: union, subtract, intersect, and exclude. Boolean groups are treated as a single shape layer and share fill and stroke properties and can be combined with other boolean groups through subsequent boolean operations. The most popular Boolean commands are AND, OR, and NOT. Other commands include parentheses, truncation, and phrases.

Boolean operations allow you to combine multiple shape layers using one of four methods:

Union Operation: The Union operation merges multiple shapes into one. This technique is commonly used in icon design, such as creating a Hamburger menu by combining three lines into a single shape.

Subtract Selection: The Subtract operation removes one or more shapes from a main shape, which is typically the bottom layer. It's important to note that all subsequent shapes will be subtracted from this main shape.

Intersect Selection: The Intersect operation displays only the overlapping area where two shapes meet. While not as widely used as the Union and Subtract methods, this technique is excellent for experimenting with new shapes.

Exclude Selection: The Exclude operation highlights the areas where two shapes do not overlap, effectively showing the non-intersecting parts of the shapes.

Union selection . Shapes ko Merge krne k liye.
Substract selection. Ek shape se dusri sunstract krne k liye
Intersect selection. Common parts lene k liye.
Exclude selection.
Shapes mn se common part substract krne k liye

Four Boolean oprations :-
1) *UNION SELECTION* - 2 Shapes ko merge karne ke liye use hota hai 2 shapes ko group me karne ke liye use hota hai

2) *SUBTRACT SELECTION* - 2 shape mai se ek shap unshow hoke ek naya shape create karta hai as like arrow type

3) *INTERSECT SELECTION* - 2 Shapes ke bich me rahe hue parts ko hi jab show karna hai baki ka shap hata dena hai tab ye use hota hai 2 shapes ke bich vale part ko high light karne ke liye as like 2 Ellipse shap mai se leaves type shape create hota hai

4) *EXCLUDE SELECTION* - 2 Shapes ke bich me jo part hota hai use Excluded karne ke liye use hota hai

union selection: this tool use for combining and make one layer.
subtract selection: this tool use for subtracting one shape from another shape.
intersection selection: this tool use for taking common parts.
exclude selection: this tool use for hide/ subtracting common parts.

Boolean operator:
Union selection 2 shapes ko apas Mai merge karny ky leya use karty hain
Subtract selection:
2 shapes mai sy aik shape ko cut karny ky leya use karty hain. Uper wali shape mai sy nechy wali shape cut hoo jay ge
Intersect selection:
2 shapes mai common part rah jay ga baki delete hoo jay ga
Exclude selection: iss mai common part cut jay ga aur baki side rah jayn ge
