“There’s nothing to fear in the Stafford gambit”

And it was in this position that Lord Voldemort resigned the game. Why did he resign? Because there was no good move here. If Voldemort goes for Avada Kedavra, Harry has this sneaky move Expelliarmus and the position is completely lost for the death eaters.

The throbbing variation is still the best variation of the scotch

No wonder I’ve been seeing this more often on Lichess. Whenever Levy or Eric release an opening video like this I start to see the opening all the time in online games.

"There is nothing to fear in the Stafford Gambit" Oh Levy.... I wonder what Eric Rosen would say about that ^^

I love watching these videos of yours but I forget all this theory when actually playing.

You should do a cosplay of that insane daniel Radcliffe meme but instead of two guns photoshop an advertisement for your opening courses on each hand

Love this guy. He seems like a normal dude who just happens to be a chess genius. Really appreciate his insights. Great job.

"Nothing to fear in the Stafford" causes me to shoot nervous glances at Eric Rosen's channel.

I've been playing the Scotch from 400 up to 1100, and you're absolutely correct about ...NF6. I would say probably 70% of the time I see Nf6, 25% of the time I see Nxd4, and like 5% of the time I see Bc5.

Looks like potter has started a youtube channel. That will be 5 points from Gryffindor.

Great tutorial! I love the Scotch opening as white and I realize now that I've been playing it wrong all along. I'm going to research this opening further and learn all the lines. Thanks!

I play Bc5 against scotch because I fell into a lot of scotch traps and lost many games so I decided to look up the scotch game on agadmator's channel and saw caruana and carlsen playing scotch. That game's analysis helped me learn that GM's reply to scotch is Bc5 and I've been playing it ever since to avoid any opening disasters.
