Seriously THANK U for giving the explanation on the DD driver !!!! it Very helpful to newcomer like me !!

A very good introduction explaining the three positions of a driver relative to frequency (cycle). It is truly remarkable what a DD has to do to reproduce the wide range of frequencies in the physical sense. As you go on to to say, planars have the 'theoretical' advantage in most indices of sound reproduction resulting in a more natural sound. Implementation is critical in achieving this advantage. To that end, an excellent review of these IEMs against that criteria. Very succinct.

Congrats on this review causing KZ to have toddler like breakdown on social media. Thanks for keeping it honest, and keep it up.

Hi quality review as usual, I like the fact that you are saying people must also wait for other reviews on this. Great explanation on the DD characteristics by the way, keep doing what you do man, we like it.

Ser, you are my reference, seriously I’ve learned so much from your videos that I won’t be able to pay you back. I really appreciate what you do

Good explanation bro! In another short review, I saw that elevation in the bass and it seemed very strange to me, this being a planar. Let's hope KZ/CCA doesn't want to cheat again...

I will wait for other reviews, because I have a 7hz Dioko and I don't see any advantage in buying the CCA PLA13 at this moment.

I am waiting for 1 dd as a subwoofer and planar for mids and trebles. Whoa it should be great

Very good explanation about dynamic drivers. These analog components are indeed amazing, vinyl records also fall in this fascinating category. Please correct me if I say anything wrong, I will give it a thought comparing to the basics of music: Pitch, Dynamic, Duration (or Rhythm) and Timbre.

The frequency of the diaphragm excursion (movement) gives us the pitch (bass, mids and treble or how low or high a note is). The amount of the excursion (amplitude) would give us the volume (intensity of sound), right? The Duration or Rhythm of the beat are already implied (kind of embedded) into the excursion, but looking at it in a longer time frame.

What is really mind blowing is how the 4th element (timbre) comes into the equation. How can a diaphragm produce it all together and also gives us the characteristic sound (timbre) of a voice, guitar, piano, flute, etc. We know it may be the complexity of the wave, harmonics interacting, the fact that the diaphragm excursion vibrates differently in the center and near the edge and so on... But still, what an incredible phenomenon... A simple piece of layer of material can reproduce (and differentiate) any timbre... any voice of 7 billion different people have its single and unique sound signature reproduced analogically to the source.

No wonder again why we call it signature! Instead of writing with a pen, it is written through the sound.

We need driver distortion measurements to see how much distortion large driver excursions produce.

Tuning a planar driver to sounds like a DD. why don't use DD to begin with.
KZ tuners love that DD bass and keep trying to introduce it to other drivers. from the all-BA AST where the elevate it soo much to ensure it doesn't "feel" like BA bass, to this.
But if Cheap planar is not as fast as the mid level, i can understand why Kinera add BA to help with the transients.

Celest Gumiho is looks good, cheaper, and include better cable

KZ furious with HBB regarding this review. "This will not be forgiven", as KZ guy stated regarding their planar sounds like dynamic.

Well I will be waiting for the Moondrop Stellaris review
I knew these CCA PLA13 wouldn't be all that.

Great vid love the reference with the car audio coming from 25years of making cars sound great people have no idea how challenging that is considered your sitting on one side and the time alignment needs to be considered! IEM's are easy .... If you don't mess it up. LOL

Heyo! I wonder, is it possible to get a updated list of the best Sub Bass Cannons? Paper Test and everything done :)
Wanna get one like the SZ2000 but easier to find :). Is the HS60 Haptic (Uses Taction Tech) a good option?
