Something to consider is that the closest existence to a dagger for the Aegis is the Wild Dagger; the only similarity is that both are transformers.

I didn't know about the Regenerate Gundam, that is an awesome idea where the core unit can attach itself to other mobile suits and hijack them. I hope to see this idea expanded upon in the future!
