Finding a song that belongs on the DANA Unreleased Collection playlist is a magic moment. The Other Side of Me would have made a top single and album track for her back in the day -- those halcyon days. Neil Sedaka's piano-based original appeared on his 1973 album The Tra-La Days Are Over, but wasn't a single. A 1976 cover by Andy Williams climbed to #42 in the UK.

At one time I collected every recording she ever made. This wasn’t in that collection so I can only assume it was from a TV or radio recording.

Dana’s voice is angelic as always. However her version of this song is too fast to my liking. The song is about secret love that has yet to be reciprocated. The singer is begging to be noticed yearning for the other party’s love. It shouldn’t be an uptempo song like this IMO. I slowed the play speed of this video to 75% of its normal speed through the Setting and listened it again. Surprisingly I liked that much better.
