24 New Exoplanets That Might Be Better than Earth!

Exoplanets are all those planets that are outside our solar system. For a long time, we didn't know much about other planets. They are simply too small on a cosmic scale to see with simple telescopes.
Only since 1995 have we had the technology to detect planets outside our own star system. Since then, telescopes have been increasingly improved, and the Kepler Space Telescope was the first telescope dedicated solely to the search for exoplanets from 2009 to 2018.
Today, we know for sure of the existence of about 5,000 exoplanets, and more are being discovered every year. There are probably several billion planets throughout the Milky Way, and about 300,000,000 of them may resemble Earth.

Exoplanets, it's a good job us humans can't reach them or we would bugger the ecosystems on those planets like we have done to ours. ❤❤

Since planets of whichever type orbiting Red Dwarf stars are tidally locked, there would be only a very narrow band of eternal twilight where life might plausibly emerge. Even worse, in addition to this unfavorable aspect of such exoplanets, they are constantly exposed to major solar flares, which would require immense magnetic protection to sustain life. Consequently, I wonder why so much attention is continuously being drawn to yet another load of Red Dwarf worlds…

It's very cool that we can surmise an exoplanets atmosphere by measuring the wavelength of the sunlight that passes through it. It's also very cool that we can calculate the mass of exoplanets orbiting a star based on the stars wobble. Of the thousands of hours of observations and calculations by hundreds of scientists from all over the world yet only about 5000 planets are agreed to be confirmed of the billions suspected to be in our galaxy. What would it take and how long before we have a complete catalog of all the planets and their moons in our galactic neighborhood? When will we see the first surface of an exoplanet? I know the projections of future land and space based telescopes being conceptualized. It's just sad for me that I probably won't be around to know the discoveries. But neither did Carl Sagan.

Would love to see us visit an extrasolar planet, but can we get to Mars first? I mean it looks like Elon Musk is not going to be ready any sooner than NASA but maybe some helpful encouragement from us would get NASA back in the game of starting a Habitat on Mars?

Better than Earth is literally impossible.
We have evolved on Earth, no other planet could fit us more perfectly, atmosphere, gravity, sunlight.
It stands to reason.

Looking for planets outside our system is fascinating. Yet looking for a planet to establish a colony on is not the point. Even if we find a planet that appears perfect it won't be. There are too many variables. If we need to move off our Earth, we need to build habitats. Researching these Earth like world's is a must. By doing so maybe we discover exactly how life begins. Then get to watch it evolve. Currently humans are far to fragile to be colonizing other worlds. Maybe some day. To get the ball rolling building habitats in my opinion is the better way to go.

Ya; they are all on Earth outside our crater on bigger Earth and reflected on the moon. So you think they are in the sky.

We shouldn't even be thinking about "elsewhere " untill we have made amends for the damage we have done to our own planet and the miryad life we seem hell bent on annihilating right here.😡

this video is not stimulating nor engaging, listening to a robot reading a script is meaningless ...
