Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has explained the reason for recent Wii U game delays, plus addressed concerns about the system's power.

And i agree to that. as Miyamoto once said "a delayed game is eventually good, but a bad game is bad forever" i totally stand by that.

From what I've seen, it's capable of better visuals than the current crop of systems, which are already near perfect. They only needed more RAM, which the Wii U does deliver.

If you want an example, check Ninja Gaiden 3. Looks every bit as good as the other systems, even seems to have sharper edges, and runs in 1080p. It clearly has the power to do amazing games. It's just a shame Nintendo's marketing department dropped the ball so badly.

Yes, they're confirmed specs. It's based on the R700 series which is a 4000 Radeon family. As we know the Radeon 4000 came out in 2008. Almost 5 years ago.

The Wii U is capable of doing the same games as the Xbox 360 and PS3, but in full 1080p and I don't know about you, but I still think the consoles are looking pretty good, especially when the developers take the time to optimize the games. The only reason these next systems was the the fact that they only put 1/4 the RAM the games really needed to utilize the processors and GPUs.

I can agree with you for the most part. But most people who own the wiiU didn't buy it for the touchscreen controller, we bought it for a new generation of amazing games. No one can argue that nintendo has some of the greatest exclusives of all time. I have a wii u for marios, zelda's, metroid's, smash bros and starfox.

I imagine after E3, there will be a price drop due to the other consoles being demoed. It would be especially nice if they do this before a Pimin 3 bundle is released.

nintendo needs rare back. i want to see star fox, zelda, supersmash, banjo and conker. those games were what made the 64 my favorite console

I'm fairly confident that Nintendo will dish out their quality games anytime soon, they've never really abandoned any of their consoles unless it fell flat on its face (which the WiiU has clearly NOT done). I have faith in Nintendo

I have a feeling the next few Nintendo Directs and E3 will help alot, even if they don't have a press conference. I mean, look at how many people bought a 3DS after Pokemon X and Y was announced?

Im a big Nintendo fan. Its always been my favorite video game company. But you cant really say that gaming doesnt revolve around looks, because it most certainly does. Maybe not back then, but graphics play a huge role in gaming today.
